On Our Own

Today we started off class by learning how to put backgrounds into a web page and went to a couple other websites used to make backgrounds. After we where done with that we where let off to make our first solo project. The project is to make a list of your 10 favorite colors. We started it today but we will keep working on it.1/31/11

Linking Web Pages and Pictures

After our snowday yesterday we went back to working in web design. Today we learned how to put pictures in web pages and with an exention to that we made our own name design and put it on our website. After some people loosing the internet we moved on to linking out index page and out second page together. Now we can click a link to go from one page to another. 1/28/11

Learning The Basics:Fonts

Today in web design we started to learn the fonts and how to use them. For example we learned how to italisize,bold,underline, and many others. We also learned how to make heading. We also learned how to change font colors and we where introduced to Font Color Charts that supply us with the codes for everycolor. We got alot done today and will continue tomarrow if we dont have a snowday.1/26/11

Making My First Web Page

Today in web design class i began to make my first web page. I knew that it was alot of codes to make a website but i didnt know that it was that complicated its thousands of codes. So far the only thing i did was make a normal title and a body ph. I can tell that this class is going to be very informative and useful to me in the future. Web design is a huge task but also very rewarding.
Also in class we watched a Youtube video about the benifits of letting others use your copy rights. For example, If a song from 1970 was a hit for a couple of weeks but then died off there would be very little profit,but if someone puts a video on the internet and uses the song as the backround music it could become a hit once again 40 years later.
I am reallly looking forward to this year of Web Design.1/25/11

Responce to Digital Dossier

After watching the digital dossier film i didn't really learn anything that i didn't know before. I knew from a young age that what every you or a parent or friend puts on the internet is permanently stored. One single thing can completely ruin your reputation and some day can keep you from getting a job or other important things. I believe that everyone should watch this video because i believe that many don't understand the importance of this.1/24/11
